Today's post is about inspiration and motivation and how to acheive it...
Keep reading for a great way to motivate yourself really quickly... And for a DIY tutorial on how to make an inspiration board!
Last night I put together a collage of motivational pictures I found on The Business Bakery to use as my background on the computer.
I intended to use just one, but I couldn't pick, they all just spoke to me..
Here's the collage:
All credit goes to The Business Bakery
I have to say it did make a difference turning on the computer this morning and I saw that before anything else, brilliant!
You should all check out The Business Bakery because it's full of amazing tips and "snacks" for small business'!
Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one; but i've got a big box full of unfinished projects that I just haven't got round to yet!
One of these projects was an inspiration board.
I started cutting out bits and pieces from magazine back when we were all snowed in, just as I was reading magazines, picked things that made me happy or inspired me. Then I put them in a folder and forgot all about them; until now!
Inspiration Board Tutorial
What you will need:
Double Sided Tape
Poster Board (Or cardboard, or the back of a mirror like I used haha!)
How To Do It
Have a leaf through magazines, and pick images, words and anything else that inspires you. Cut them out and put them in a pile.
The size of your poster board and the images you choose will reflect how many you need. Don't worry if you don't have enough, the brilliant thing about this is that you can do half of it and add to it at a later date.
I had enough to do it all in one go :)
Arrange your cut out images on your poster board to get the perfect fit, you can overlap images/words and it doesn't matter if you have any gaps!
Next, cut strips of double sided sticky tape (you can use normal sellotape, I just found double sided easier!) and attach to the back of your cut outs. Then pop the cut outs back in the place you arranged them to be.
Keep going until you have filled the board.
And That's It!
How simple is that?!
As it was sunshining, I went outside and photographed it out there and i'm very proud of it!
It now lives behind my desk on a cupboard, this cupboard top also holds any orders that are ready to be packed, and a few decorations!
Thank you for reading and I hope this inspired you to make your own!
Please share photo's with us if you decide too! :)
Love as always
